There can be only one defining goal for any Christian - find out what God wants you to do and do it! This book explores the meaning of that concept particularly in connection with church planting and church growth. It also explores some of the issues of church government and the basic principles that should undergird the pastor’s role. In today’s world it is easy to be spurred on by ambition and pursue success, but building a church should not be about personal achievement, rather our churches should be built on prayer and Christian character. This will accomplish all that the Lord requires. What is achievable for each pastor will vary widely but if we can reach the end of our lives, able to echo the words of Paul, then we may well be content.
